The 2015 Crestwood Hills Block Party Reunion and Softball Game is on!
Sunday, October 4th from 2–6pm in Crestwood Hills Park.
This year's neighborhood celebration promises to be a year to remember with more activities and great eats in the works. Whether or not you consider yourself a softball player—or cheerleader—there will be something for everyone.
Join residents of Crestwood Hills and the surrounding neighborhood of Kenter Canyon for art in the form of live t-shirt screen printing, music, food and drink, and our annual softball game. This year includes a special treat, as a group of Crestwood Hills residents from “the early days” will be celebrating their first ever reunion. Make plans to visit and hear stories of what life was like in Crestwood Hills during the pioneering days when traffic on Sunset Boulevard was the least of their worries!
The event is free for all Crestwood Hills Association dues-paying residents and $10 for all other Kenter residents.
Please RSVP by email with total attending and residential address by September 28th to rsvp@crestwoodhills.com.

On May 5th, an invitation to experience all the talent young pianists have to offer.
Jeannette Rubinyi is an original resident of Crestwood Hills, and at 95, still calls our neighborhood home. For the past 30 years she has honored her husband Benno, a noted musician, by endowing UCLA's Benno Rubinyi Scholarship, which is awarded to top student pianists.
For the last 16 of those 30 years, the scholarship has been bestowed on the winner of the Rubinyi Piano Student Competition, where the best student pianists compete for top honors. This year, the 17th annual competition will be held on Tuesday, May 5th from 6-8:30 pm at the Jan Popper Theater in the Schoenberg Music Building at UCLA. It promises to be an especially momentous occasion because Jeannette's 95th birthday will also be celebrated.
You are invited to join UCLA's music department, talented young musicians, Jeannette and her family for an amazing evening of music and celebration. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, please see the official announcement from the UCLA Herb Albert School of Music.
The Rubinyi family musical tradition continues through Jeannette and Benno's grandson, Ben Anderson, who will be performing May 29th in Santa Monica.
